im using windows 7 32 bit and got the following error. "the module "C:\Program Files\Common Files\PSDCodec.dll" was loaded but the call to DllRegisterServer failed with error code 0x80070005.

Make sure you are running cmd as an administrator. Also it looks like you are missing a backslash in your reply C:\

There are differing reports of this method working with 64bit versions of windows.

Here is what I get
"The module " C:Program Files\Common Files\PSDCodec.dll" failed to load.
Make sure the binary is stored at the specific path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files.
The specified module could not be found

I have Windows 7 64-bit and photoshop CS5 and no luck on any methods listed here.

Also no success here on my Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit system, although I do use a dual boot system in which the 64 bit is located on "B" Drive but I manually edited the .reg file and replaced the "C" with "B" but still no luck..

Too bad we have to pay an extra 20$ when we have already paid for Adobe Photoshop in the first place....everyone has to fork out I suppose, like it or not.

For 64bit just open acessories in start then right click on command prompt > run as administrator... easily fixed, tyvm cya

Flash is far better than HTML5, HTML5 is quite behind to what flash can do. We can expect more from flash then to HTML5. First time I saw flash and play with it, I saw the future in how we will deal with video and graphics.

The solution worked fine for me. I did have to set the CMD.EXE program to "Run As Administrator". I am using Windows Ultimate 64-bit.

I fourd the solution to that when I searched Google for:

"windows 7 dllregisterserver failed 0x80070005"

and found the first link at site:

Thanx for saving me the $$ on a 3rd party solution.

Hi, I put on my glasses and I had made folder as PSDCodex rather than PSDCodec so it now works like a beauty!

Make sure you are following every step as an Administrator. This method will only work with 32 bit versions of Windows 7. If you are still having issues, you are the first person in over 2200 people that has had any problem.
You can also try http://www.ardfry.com/psd-c... they offer a 15 day trial that works with both 32 and 64 bit versions. If that method does not work either, your windows install has major problems.
